Originally from Manhattan, during her childhood, Mercedes spent a week in many summers on Ship Bottom, LBI.
"Being raised by my incredible single mom, these island visits were gifts that did not come every year due to our finances but were beautiful, welcome treasures when we were blessed to experience them", says Mercedes.
"I roamed the island barefoot, sun-kissed, with windswept hair and re-call these memories throughout my life. These photos pay homage to my days swimming in the bay, frolicking with seagulls on the beach and living a truly wonderful life by the sea."

Winners must pay within 48 hours of the auction's end or the next closest bidder will be declared the winner. If the winner needs a piece shipped, we will need to make separate arrangements. All shipping costs will be the responsibility of the winner. If the winner lives locally, we can certainly work on arrangements to deliver the artwork ourselves.
